Acute water shortage hits major parts of Sekondi-Takoradi

The Twin City,  Sekondi-Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana’s capital has for the past three weeks been hit by water shortage.

These water crisis has affected the livelihood of the people in Sekondi-Takoradi. The situation has reduced the activities of residents since they had to walk for long distance to fetch water with regard to domestic and commercial activities.

The unannounced water crisis has left many stranded as they resort to the use of unhygienic sources of water as others also use sachet water for the household chores.

Meanwhile in an exclusive interview with the Communication manager GWCL, Nana Yaw Barimah-Barbie, he hinted the team that an electrical transformer that supply power to the Daboase Terminal plant has developed a fault resulting in the water ration from Inchaban Terminal plant to Twin City. He added that the company is working around the clock to resolve the problem.
