Port expansion to recruit over 3000 residents of Sekondi-Takoradi – WR Minister

The Western Regional Minister says over three thousand (3000) residents of Sekondi-Takoradi will be employed as the Takoradi Harbour expansion has been completed.

Speaking at a presentation where Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah gave street bulbs to residents in Airport Ridge in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis as part of enhancing visibility in the area, he indicated this forms part of reducing unemployment in the Metropolis.

He said the Atlantic Port Service Project is complete and as of now, they have started recruitment which he is going to make sure more than 3000 people are employed from Sekondi-Takoradi.

He said, “The Takoradi Port expansion which is named as the Atlantic Port Services has been completed and they have started recruitment.”

“I am going to make sure over 3000 people from the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis are recruited into the business.”

The Minister said he would urge residents of his constituency to have hope in him and continue to believe because there are more development in the pipe line to make life better for them.
