All major road projects in Western Region will be completed in 2024 – Regional Minister


The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah is assuring residents in the region that issues relating to roads will be a thing of the past after 2024.

Speaking on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show today, the Regional Minister indicated that works on abandoned road projects will resume and ongoing projects will all be completed in 2024 including patching potholes on all major roads.

He added that major repair works will also be done on the Agona-Nkwanta Takoradi roads.

“Issues of roads will be a thing of the past after 2024, the government is working to fix all major roads in the Western Region.”

“We have now received funds to also fix all potholes on roads which we have already embarked on that mission.”

“Justmoh, the contractor in charge of the Agona Nkwanta-Takoradi road has already given me assurance that he will tidy up the road by fixing the deplorable sections within six months.”

The Regional Minister also indicated that some of the Chinese expatriates who were working on the PTC Interchange have returned to the site and work will soon commence.
