Reliable information available to www.233times.net is that students who were infected with the novel coronavirus, have all been discharged to write their WASSCE exams.
It was reported weeks ago that four students, one each from the Archibishop Porter Girls and Ahantaman Senior School, and two from Adiembra Senior High School, were infected by the virus.
The Metro-Education Directorate, in a latest update to this, clarified that all the infected students have been clinically cleared after a 14 day quarantine without developing any symptom or illness.
Director of Education, Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, Mrs. Elizabeth Akuoko in an exclusive interview on Skyy Power FM mentioned that two of these students are in the care of their parents and shall soon be recalled to school to write their exams.
“All of them are asymptomatic so after the 14 day mandatory quarantine where they did not show any symptom or to, it is proof as defined by the WHO that they cannot transfer the virus.
“We expect them to resume academic work as they write their papers next week” she added.
