President John Mahama is in Abuja, Nigeria to attend the 43rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government.
The two-day session starts on Wednesday July 17, with the heads of state expected to discuss a number of issues including the situation in Mali and Guinea Bissau, and also consider a number of recommendations in the 2013 interim report of the ECOWAS Commission President.
President Mahama, who arrived in Abuja late Tuesday evening, has already held closed door meetings with some colleague heads of state to discuss some matters of mutual interest to their respective countries and the subregion.
